How to make your Home Interior Decorating successful?
Whenever I think of any design, be it interior design or product design, a few things very naturally come up in my mind. These are in the form of questions.
The best part is, answers to these questions can give rise to a very
successful design in itself. Let's see how.
If I am planning to design a piece of furniture, let's say a double bed, immediate I start relating to what I already know about double beds, some picture/image I have already seen, something I have seen in some furniture shop, etc...
Then I start thinking about what material I should think about, the budget, dimensions, age group of people who are going to use it, etc... If you answer these questions one by one on a paper, you will get a blueprint of the design process, so that you can convert in into technical drawings, with all the joinery details and finally the product.
Amongst above mentioned questions some are directly related to function
of the double bed as a piece of furniture.
What does this mean?
When I ask myself, what should be the dimensions of a double bed? I have very little freedom to decide the dimensions of the bed, because there are certain norms to be followed in order to serve it's basic function and that's comfort.
But what if I say that I will keep the overall surface area of the bed same , but make it round in plan. Will it be ok..
Now here I am trying to achieve both function and aesthetics, without sacrificing the comfort of the person who will use it. So during any design process there will be times when the designer need to take some decisions where he has to keep aside his wildest ideas and pay attention to function first.
That's why the true success of an interior design project is a good balance between function and aesthetics.
Expressing this kind of balance through design is not an easy task,
because function is universally accepted, but aesthetics, not always.
What does this mean?
Beauty is always relative. A washbasin has a common universal function of an appliance to be used for washing hands, but it's beauty is relative. What is beautiful for me, might not hold true for you.
So a design expression can have a unique style of the designer himself. It is possible that the designer is more comfortable with certain kinds of materials/finishes/color schemes, etc.. which can reflect in his designs.
In spite of these personal touches a good designs always caters the needs of the user first. A good designer has a certain kind of convincing power in his/her style which he uses to expresses in the design without sacrificing the likes/dislikes of the user.
There are designers who are more comfortable in designing only a certain kind space such as bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, public spaces such as restaurants, clubs, gymnasiums.
Of course this is entirely of a personal choice, but there is this same message in their designs, shell out your ego and design for the best parameters with worst possibilities taken into considerations. This is what gives birth to a great design.

All of these factors contribute to the overall value of your antique book.
The overall availability is a factor in price but is not necessarily the main factor as a book may be hard to find but not desirable. In other words it may be rare but nobody wants it! Confusing? Yes it can be. It is prudent to consult a dealer to appraise your antique book whether for insurance purposes or because you are attempting to sell it. In the final analysis, antiques are always only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
Appraisals Dealers usually need to see the book itself in order to identify and appraise it. You may submit photographs if you cannot see the dealer in person due to distance or time. They will require usually a photograph of the title page, the back side of the title page (also called the copyright page), the first and last pages of text, and the outer covers and spine in order to evaluate an individual copy. It is best to have very close up, quality photographs if you must go this route. If you are not proficient with a digital camera, ask one of your friends to do it for you. The popularity of digital cameras today makes quality photos easy to accomplish. Do not try and photocopy the book! This produces very poor results and may in fact damage the book due to the pressure exerted upon the spine in this process.
You often hear the phrase "first edition" in reference to books and this can influence the price of the book if there were, in fact more than one edition! Many times there were not. Be careful when someone touts the first edition status of an antique book and attempt to determine for yourself if there were indeed subsequent editions. Again remember to use all of the resources online and elsewhere to obtain valuable and often free information on your antique book. There are several national societies of book dealers, "antiquarians" and of course appraisers that you may take advantage of in the search for information. There are also book collecting societies that you may investigate. Take your time and learn all you can before you buy or sell your antique book.

You may get your car appraised if you think that its value is much more than what the book states. The appraisal process includes the car becoming officially recorded with a list other cars that are considered to be under that same value bracket.
To select a proper appraiser you could contact the American Society of Appraisers (or ASA for short). When you are selecting your candidate, look at their resumes. It is best to have an appraiser that has worked with your make of vehicle in the past, and knows a lot about it. Check their references for more information about them.
The appraiser checks the vehicle thoroughly for the final report. If she can, she will run the car and take note to the condition. She will also be taking a lot of pictures, to add to her detailed document. She will include a record of similar vehicles with their prices. The appraiser bases her list on various sources such as car price guides, advertisements, auction and sale results; and other documents related to the car.
In addition to an appraiser, the insurance policy company needs information such as make, color, model, body style, and year. Engine number and Vehicle Identification Number (or VIN) could be asked for. Cars such as a Ferraris or Corvette must have a VIN for verification.
Another good reason for putting your classic or antique car under the proper insurance policy is that they would most likely understand what the car needs and what concerns you have about your vehicle.
There are three types of insurance for an antique or classic car. There is the actual cash value (ACV); agreed value (AV); and stated value (SV). If your insurance policy is under the heading of actual cash value (or ACV), then the value is set for the cost of the car at the time of being insured. This value decreases with time, if the insurance is needed, an insurance claim adjuster will decide how much the ACV is.
With the stated value (or SV), the insurance pays either the fees related to damage of the vehicle or the ACV depending on which costs less. The AV is the better of the three. When you get your AV policy, you are guaranteed a degree of coverage regardless, if anything happens to your vehicle.

Decorating after remodeling your kitchen may seem like a daunting task. The money may not be there, but you can still get stellar decorating resuls on a budget!
Color! Color! Color!
Hanging your coffee mugs under a cabinet may seem old hat to some, but being able to buy individual pieces in most stores now can make it a colorful, unique, and inexpensive solution to a naked backsplash wall problem. Bold colors and designs are just the thing for small space. Keeping things from cluttering your counter top is always a good idea and hanging your coffee mugs can solve that problem while adding that extra flair!
Individual mugs can be bought for as little as $1.00 to $2.00 a piece. A large serving platter in the same design hung under the light behind your sink can tie it all together. Dishtowels in a color to match and you've Gotter-Done for as little as $25.00 to $30.00 total.
I suggest using a mug hanger with several hooks on it as opposed to individual hooks. This will create fewer holes in your cabinets. Be careful to space your mugs so that they hang comfortably next to each other. Careful planning in this area will definately help in making fewer holes.

Experiment with color combinations. Combining colors can get you just about any shade you need. Doing a gradual light to dark can also be dramatic.
Be sure to fill the jar with water to the cork mark. Also take your colored water over to the spot you intend to display it in. See how the light reflects on it. This will help you determine if you need to lighted or darken the color for the effect you want. Less may be better in your greens and blues. They can often get too dense to let the light pass through. If you're not happy with the color you've got, simply dump the water and try again. Add a candle next to the bottle and watch the colors glow.
When the budget is tight, try one or both of these simple accents to add additional color and flair to your kitchen!
